Shanghai 2008 - P.9

The game ended and all the time is on my own now.

Yesterday I woke up late, just hanging around the hotel till afternoon. Then I headed out to the book store. The book I want is still somewhere out there. I found out that somehow Shanghainese and Vietnamese somehow have not much different reading tastes. They have translated many books that Vietnamese have too. However, they have somehow better sense of systematics in books-translation. For example, the whole series of Agatha Christie have better solution.

After dinner, I returned to the hotel for some health problem, then headed out for a bar night. Wanna try the recommended bar on the guide book. I arrived at the Bund, went back and forth a little bit, then came up stair of one of the famous building on the Bund for the bar. Bar Rouge - the name. The bar is colored by red, of course. Shit! Awesome view, straight to the Pearl tower. And the music is good. Not much the "thumpa thumpa", just enough for my taste. And I think I like Jeam Beam, not sweet, not sour, just that, smokey (and I think I know that smokey taste they wrote about now.) I called it a night at about 12 and that was all for yesterday.

Today I was too lazy to get up early. I just woke up, having my breakfast, then headed out at about 12. My plan for today was the Old town (with Yu Yuan and Yu Yuan Bazaar). However, before catching the taxi I found out an underground mall nearby the Shanghai History Museum. Bought something for my younger bigger brother. Then the Yu Yuan. I skipped the Yu Yuan, just visited the garden that we once stepped over on my first time in Shanghai (2 years agoa). Then I hooped around the Yu Yuan Bazaar. Things have changed a lot. Same location, same things but they are still different. That's all.

I returned to the hotel early today. Just bought 2 cakes from a nearby Starbucks. It's cold today and I have my reason to be lazy (Gr, why this time? It never happened on my travelling days before.) It is said that it will be colder tomorrow. Cruel! The forecast of the hotel is about 4-14 Celsius degree else while MSN weather tells that it may be -2-9. Aw! I still have my plan for tomorrow, rite? How can?
