Been there and done that - Egypt P.3

ON THE WAY

Boat, boat, rode a boat

Reaching Aswan, checking-in the floating hotel (aka big boat on the river), we took a visit to the unfinished obelisk, the High Dam and Lake Nasser. After that we returned to Nile river and had a nice time on a sailboat. There were many many sailboats on the river and it reminded me of my beloved city Hongkong and Causeway Bay. The sunset was beautiful. With all the white sails in the wind.

The morning after, I woke up horribly early for an optional tour to Abu Simbel. I-woke-up-at-3-am, believe it or not? But it's worth. And it's another story and I'll tell about it later. We had to start that early morning so we could return on time for the departure time of the big boat. Then the boat departed.

Somehow they well-arranged that we had to spend time on the boat all the the afternoons of the Nile cruise. They even had tea-parties on the deck everyday in the afternoon to keep people there. And it was more than good.

Have I ever told you all that I have a thing for the sunset?

I miss all that relaxation-afternoons on the boat, seeing the normal life of local people along the river, the desert far behind-the-scenes.

Tips: Ok, guess that I have no tip for today. The only one that I already mentioned above. Do never miss your chance seeing the sunset on Nile the river.

And as requested (by Mr.Lonely Wanderer), it's show time now!
